About the Varsity Coaches
Meghan DiGiulio joined the Burroughs faculty in the 2012-13 school year. In addition to teaching 7th and 8th grade physical education, she is head coach of girls' varsity lacrosse and C basketball and assistant coach of junior varsity field hockey. DiGiulio comes most recently from MICDS, where she was a physical education teacher, coach and academic advisor. She holds a bachelor's degree in sociology and anthropology from Colgate University.
Jud Dieffenbach returned to Burroughs in the fall of 2011. He currently teaches Debate and Physical Education in addition to coaching V Football, JV Boys’Basketball and Girls V Lacrosse. Before returning to JBS, Dieffenbach was a teacher and coach at Mary Institute-Country Day School for six years. Dieffenbach earned his bachelor’s degree in public policy from Indiana University and his master’s degree in History from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis.

About the JV Coaches
Carrie Chapman (JBS '98) joined the Burroughs PE/Athletics staff in 2009 and coaches JV field hockey, boys JVR basketball and girls JV lacrosse. As a student/athlete, Carrie played field hockey, basketball, soccer, track and lacrosse at Burroughs. At the University of Virginia, where she graduated from the McIntire School of Commerce, Carrie played four years of field hockey and earned Atlantic Coast Conference 50th Anniversary Team Honors (named one of the top 50 field hockey players in the history of the ACC), and is second in career assists in UVA field hockey history. Prior to returning to Burroughs, Carrie worked as an investment banker for Ernst & Young and also coached field hockey at Charlotte Country Day School.
Margaret Clark (JBS '73) joined the Burroughs faculty in 1978 as a member of the PE/Athletics Department. She is the head coach of cheerleading, dance and C field hockey. She also coaches JV girls' lacrosse and teaches 7th and 8th grade physical education. She holds a bachelor's degree in physical education from Colorado State University.
