On Friday, November 23, the Bomber Varsity Football team completed a 13-1 season, claiming second place in State. This group of seniors delivered the best three-year stretch in the history of Bomber football with a record of 42-4.
The 2012 football season included many high points for the team: defeating MICDS by our widest margin in the schools’ long-time rivalry, winning the inaugural Metro League Championship with an undefeated season in the league, securing the Bombers’ third consecutive district championship and taking second in State (class 3) for the third consecutive year.
The season was also punctuated by an amazing performance by Ohio State recruit Ezekiel Elliott ’13. Offensively, he scored 50 touchdowns and amassed over 2,000 yards. This put his varsity career total at 100 touchdowns.
