Perennial, summer.

 Habitat
Shallow slow moving water, marshes, streams.

 Flower
Regular, white, 1/2 to 1 inch wide, 3 rounded petals. Flowers arranged in groups of 3. A long stalk supports the flowers above the water.

 Leaves
Basal, simple, toothless, lobed, shape like that of an arrow. Leaf blade varies from broad to narrow. Leaves supported above the water by a rigid stalk.
