 Season
Perennial, spring and summer.

 Habitat
Wet areas, fields, roadsides, meadows.

 Flower
Blue with yellow center. Single flowers are 1/2 to 3/4 inches wide. Each petal (6) is tipped with a bristle.

 Leaves
Basal, narrow, with flat edges, veins parallel. The edge of the stem is flattened (wing-like).
