Habitat	Dry open places, trailsides, roadsides, edges of woods.
Flower	Pink, irregular (pea shaped), 1/2", terminal in branching clusters (racemes). Seed pods are flat and sectioned.
Leaves	Alternate, palmately compound, leaflets 3, leaflets entire. Stems hairy, erect and often in clumps.
