Common Name - Labrador Tea

 Season
Spring perennial.

 Habitat
Cold northern bogs and swamps.

 Flower
Regular, small (1/3" wide) white flowers arranged in rounded clusters. Each cluster contains several flowers each having five petals.

 Leaves
The leaves of this 1 to 2 foot high shrub have edges that are rolled in and the margins of the leaves are smooth. This shrub is easily identified as the leaves are evergreen and hairy beneath. Smaller stems are also hairy.
