 Habitat
Deciduous woods, prefers dense shade.

 Flower
Regular, small, white, star shaped, consisting of two petals and two sepals. Individual flowers appear grouped together along a stalk forming a spike cluster.

 Leaves
Simple, toothless, heart-shaped at the base and arranged alternately along the stem. Each plant is small, with only 2 or 3 leaves.
