Scientific Name - Trillium cernuum

 Season
Perennial, spring through early summer.

 Habitat
Deciduous woods with shade and lots of moisture.

 Flower
Regular, suspended by a stalk below the leaf, composed of 3 white petals and 3 light green sepals. Each plant produces a solitary flower that is 1 to 1 1/2 inches wide. Petals are curved back at the tip. Stamens pink.

 Leaves
Each plant contains 3, simple, toothless leaves joined around a central point to form a whorl.
