Common Name - White Prairie Clover
Scientific Name - Petalostemum candida
Family Name -  Pea or Bean (Fabaceae)

 Season
Summer through early fall, perennial

 Habitat
Dry and sunny prairie fields and roadsides.

 Flower
Small (less than 1/4"), white with 5 petals. Individual flowers form a cylindrical head that opens from the bottom upwards.

 Leaves
Alternate, pinnately compound with narrow leaflets. Leaflets number from 5 to 9. Leaflet length varies from 1" to 1 1/2".
