 Habitat
Shady and moist deciduous woods.

 Flower
Flowers white to pinkish in groups of 2 or 3. Stamens green. Parts variable with 5 to 10 rounded or pointed sepals. 3/4" to 1" wide.

 Leaves
Upper leaves (1") attached in whorls beneath the flower cluster. Basal leaves appear during or after flowering. Individual leaves have 3 lobes with each lobe having a blunt tip.
