Scientific Name - Trientalis borealis

 Season
Perennial, flowers spring through early summer (May-June).

 Habitat
Wet shady woodlands

 Flower
Regular, star shaped, with 7 white pointed petals. The blossom, (1/2" wide) is suspended from a long thin stalk. Stamens 7 with gold colored anthers.

 Leaves
Five to seven leaves are attached as a whorl below the flower stalk. Leaves are entire, lance shaped and 2 to 4 inches long.
