 Season
Late spring, early summer perennial

 Habitat
Meadows and swamps that are moist and brushy.

 Flower
Small (1/4"), white, form large clusters at the top of sturdy stems that are up to 4' tall. Flowers are either staminate or pistillate. Staminate flowers have long yellow drooping stamens (see above).

 Leaves
Alternate, pinately compound, leaflets oval with lobes (3) that are pointed.
