The Burroughs endowment generates annual income which provides perpetual support for a wide variety of programs, from tuition aid, to support for faculty, the arts, athletics and more. Whether you make a gift in honor of a loved one, to celebrate a special event, or to honor your own JBS experience, your thoughtfulness will help make a Burroughs education possible for the next generation of students.
Endowed Scholarships—which are awarded based solely on financial need—are important to the school's ability to recruit a talented and diverse student body. Named for alumni, faculty, families and even 50th reunion classes, these endowments fund anywhere from one quarter to 110 percent of the recipients' tuition each year.
Memorial & Tribute Funds—We are grateful to receive gifts in honor or memory of Burroughs alumni, parents, grandparents and friends. When you make a tax-deductible memorial or tribute gift, we'll send a note to the family of the person being honored or memorialized. It's a thoughtful way to let someone know you're thinking about them. Make a gift online.
Special Funds, Capital Gifts & Class Gifts—Operating an independent school, and striving to maintain the excellence in education for which we are known, has real costs. Perhaps you'd like to help increase the collection in the Stamper Library, contribute a memorial bench to remember a loved one or name a classroom in honor of your favorite teacher. We'd welcome the chance to speak with you about the many options available for meaningful gifts that will make an impact.
With thoughtful planning, you can stretch the impact of your gift even further. For more information on supporting Burroughs, visit our
