Four Years in the Making Party ~ On Friday, November 29, over 100 members of the class of 2016 and parents gathered in the trophy area of the Taylor Athletic Center to catch up. See photos here.
Young Alumni Reunion Party ~ On Friday, November 29, from 7:00-10:00 pm, Burroughs hosted a young alumni reunion cocktail party for the classes of 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014 in the Commons and Haertter Hall lobby. See photos here.
Open House for Prospective Students and Parents was held on Saturday, October 26. The morning began at 9:30 AM in Haertter Hall Auditorium with a presentation by Andy Abbott.. About 245 prospective families toured the campus.
Alumni Weekend was held on Thursday - Saturday, October 3 - 5.
On Thursday, there was an Alum Art Opening in the Bonsack Gallery featuring the artwork of Robert Lucy '84, along with a wine & cheese reception. See Photos here.
On Friday in morning assembly, we honored our 2019 Outstanding Alum Award and Distinguished Service Award recipients, Vicki Liebson Goldberg '54 and William Shearburn '79, respectively. Check it out.
Friday evening we held class reunion pre-parties and the annual Alumni Cocktail Party in the Quad featuring Food Truck Fare and music by Kennedy Holmes '23 and the Ralph Butler Band. See photos here.

Blue & Gold Weekend ~ Friday & Saturday, September 27 & 28. Alum/Parent Bonfire Watch Party (Haertter Hall Overlook) on Friday at 7:30 PM; Fun Run (2.5 mile walk/run from JBS Quad to MICDS STEM bldg/Founder's Court) on Saturday morning at 8:00 AM. Details and sports schedules to follow.

Graduation ~ The JBS Alumni Association grew on Sunday, June 2, as we welcomed 103 new graduates! It was a beautiful evening in Graduation Grove. See photos here.
Links & Drinks ~ On Friday, May 10 around 75 golfers played in the annual golf tournament. At 5:30pm another 50 alums and friends joined for the cocktail reception. It was a beautiful day (no rain!) and all enjoyed themselves. Many thanks to the club host, Steve Trulaske '75 and to the The Wine and Cheese Place for putting together such great golf prizes! Alumni Day of Service ~ Alums and students from the Montgomery Plan gathered at the Jewel Box on Saturday, May 4 to assist the Flora Conservancy in digging up the tulip beds. See photos here.
Art for Breakfast ~ About 150 people (alums, students, parents, past parents, grandparents and retired faculty & staff) gathered for a morning of art and inspiration at Art for Breakfast. Andy Abbott welcomed everyone and spoke about the JBS Fine Arts Collection and Dr. Bradley Bailey gave a talk about the works of art exhibited in the Bonsack Gallery. Attendees then went on self-guided tours to view art around campus.
Truffles Party ~ on Tuesday, March 12 alums from the classes of 1940 - 1968 were invited for cocktails and appetizers at Truffles. More than fifty people attended.
Alumni Forum ~ Alums gathered on campus on Wednesday, February 20 to hear from Andy Abbott about the state of the school and the strategic plan, and to discuss ideas for increasing connections between alums and between alums and Burroughs.
Back to School Night ~ Alums, current and past parents and other members of the JBS community gathered on Wednesday, February 6 to take classes from current faculty which are not normally offered during the school year.
JBS in Chicago ~ CANCELED: Due to the extreme weather expected on Wednesday, January 30, we are postponing our Chicago events until spring. We will reschedule the SoulCycle class and reception. Stay tuned for details.

Urban Harvest Alumni Happy Hour ~ On Thursday, October 18, 60 alums gathered for a happy hour on the Urban Harvest rooftop. Retreat Gastropub and Yellowbelly prepared farm inspired small bites and cocktails with fresh ingredients from the Urban Harvest rooftops fields. See photos here.

Alumni Family Picnic ~ On Saturday, October 14, many gathered in the Quad for a picnic lunch and were entertained by The Twangadours featuring Larry McMahon '69 and Joe Dreyer '73. There was a photo booth, face painter and frosty treats for dessert. See photos here.
Taste of Burroughs ~ On Friday, October 13, the Quad was transformed into a street fair atmosphere ~ 200+ alums dined on a sampling of small plates from restaurants owned by our talented alumni. Alumni Day of Service ~ We had more than twenty-five alums, friends and students gather on Saturday, April 22 at the Jewel Box in Forest Park, to help The Flora Conservancy dig up tulips and prepare the beds for summer annuals. We all had a great time.
Celebrate Stamper...On To The Next Chapter ~ A reception was held on Friday, March 10, 2017, from 4 to 6 pm; we said farewell to the old Stamper Library and hello to the new Stamper Family Library through a virtual reality tour. More than ninety alums, friends and faculty (former and current) attended. See photos.
JBS in Texas ~ On Saturday, January 21, about 25 alums and friends gathered at the historic Driskill Hotel in downtown Austin for a reception. See photos. Then on Tuesday, January 24, almost 30 alums and friends looked out over downtown Dallas from The City Club (70 floors up). Thanks to those who were able to attend - It was great to see everyone. JBS Defeats MICDS 2 - 1 in the Ice Hockey Winter Classic! About 200 brave souls faced the freezing temperatures on Friday, January 6 at Busch Stadium to cheer the Bombers on to V-I-C-T-O-R-Y. See photos here.
