Ted Schnuck '03 was featured in the St. Louis Business Journal on 2.7.19, in its annual 40 Under 40 feature. Schnuck was honored for his role as vice president of marketing for Schnuck Markets, where he has increased store count by 20 percent. Each year, the 40 under 40 award showcases "the best and the brightest young professionals in the region," with profiles that take "a deep dive into each honoree's skills, qualities and career aspirations," asking awardees how they "plan to leave their mark on St. Louis business and in the community." In his profile, Schnuck spoke about returning to St. Louis to work as a fourth-generation member of the family business founded by his great-grandmother in 1939. "In my time at Schnucks, I have worked across our supply chain, business development, and marketing functions," he said. "I was recently deeply involved with the acquisition and integration of 19 Shop ‘n Save locations, which increased the company’s store count by nearly 20 percent. Upon transitioning into my current marketing role, I have supported the successful launch of Schnuck Rewards and look forward to continuing to find new ways to engage with our customers and nourish their lives. With our footprint across the greater St. Louis region, we have a unique opportunity to impact people through not only the food that we sell but also the job opportunities that we offer and the communities that we support." He also touched on his travels, his charity work, what he loves about his job and how he hopes to leave a lasting impact on St. Louis through work around economic development and food insecurity.
