Vinya Reddy '20 Awarded Position at Wash U Med School

Vinya Reddy ’20 has been awarded a research associate position at Washington University Medical School Department of Cardiology. Vinya developed an Artificial Intelligence model for detection of prevalent cardiovascular diseases using interbeat data from 24-hour Holter recordings; applied Heart Rate Variability (HRV) analysis to classify ECG signals into subclinical and clinical cardiovascular categories; and built and trained AI neural network on ECG heartbeat recordings which predicted abnormal cardiovascular conditions with 96% accuracy. She is planning on submitting a research paper to a journal (we will we post the link when it goes live) and she has been selected to present her abstract research at the Eighth Annual Cardiology symposium at Washington University St. Louis School of Medicine on October 10.
