A group of parents founded Burroughs, and ever since parents have played an integral role in the life of the school.

For parents who are interested, there is a broad role to play at Burroughs. Parents hold the majority of the seats on the school's governing body, the Board of Trustees, which manages the school's finances and facilities and sets policy with the head of school. Parents are entirely in charge of the Parents Council, which sponsors student, parent and community events; provides a variety of services; and raises funds above and beyond tuition for the benefit of our students and faculty.

Volunteering at Burroughs is one of the best ways to understand, stay in tune with and be involved in the life of the community that your have chosen for your child.
